By creating conflict between you and your team, there are both short and long term consequences. Some short-term consequences are that teammates are less likely to work together with you. For example, if you play hockey, and in the last practice you weren’t doing your best and blamed it on your teammates instead of yourself, they will most likely not work with you until you apologize or explain yourself. This is one example of a short-term consequence. A long-term consequence is that you can lose not only the trust of your teammates, but of your coach as well.
