There are many similarities and differences between the movie and the book in the Hunger Games. Some of the similarities are how Katniss volunteered for her sister some of the differences are who gave Katniss the Mockingjay pin. Some of the similarities from the book and the movie are how Katniss volunteered for her sister Prim in the Hunger Games. Katniss volunteered when Prim was called to go to the Hunger Games. Another similarity is when Rue was killed by the district one boy. When Rue was killed Katniss laid Rue flat on into floor and covered her with flowers and sang to her.
