First, you also attend college for education. This is the education that will prepare you for the rest of your life. People of all ages attend college to get a degree for something they are passionate about doing for the rest of their lives. When someone has to pay thousands of dollars for an education they take it pretty seriously to. It’s the absolute number one reason that people go. Second, new activities and hobbies are introduced. In college the choices become unlimited. One of the main things that colleges are known for is sororities and fraternities. Kids get to be a part of something that involves the whole campus and have countless groups to choose from. Another example is groups that involve your major. Almost every department at any campus has some sort of club or group to go along with it. It’s not necessary but this is a great option to be more involved while getting a better education. Lastly, the world of meeting new people. When you enter college it’s no longer just the people from our hometown. People come to colleges here in the US from all over the world. The amount of people there is to meet is outrageous. This is where most kids meet their lifelong friends that they will know and be around for the rest of their lives. It’s a refreshing start for most students.
Although they have their differences, the amount of similarities between high school and college are crazy. Although they have different environments the concept between both are exactly the same. There are many reasons why high school and college are the similar but the main three reasons they are compatible are education, new activities and hobbies, and meeting new people.
