Although these two worldviews share some thoughts and beliefs, they differ in very important things which are essential to determine that they are two different ways to see the world. We can see this very clear in this sentence “Through our innate and autonomous human reason and science, we cannot only know the universe but we can infer at least something of what God is like” (Sire 54). Nevertheless, they state that we are in a clock, so we cannot know if we are inside the clock, because we should not be able to transcend this mechanism. That is why, talking about epistemology related to these worldviews, theism is more consistent than deism, because the own deism presents an important contradiction.
