Compare And Contrast Roman And Greek Empires

The Ancient Greeks and Romans.

There are many differences and similarities between the two empires, from their famous leaders throughout history, to their declines. It is interesting to study and go over what made up their Empires, the achievements that set them apart from others in history, and what each time period held for their people and their ways of living.
We will be looking at and going over some of the main parts of their empires, from their famous leaders to the reason(s) for their declines.

There are many famous leaders from both Ancient Greece and Rome, who all made some sort of impact in their lives and the lives of others in their time period, like Plato, Augustus, and Aristotle. I would like to list two from each civilization that

We have them to thank, not only for the above-mentioned inventions but also for marathons and the Olympics.

The ways that The Greeks and Romans went about with their social structure is similar to the ways we have ours set up today.
The government and government bodies were very different in Greece and Rome, however. The Greeks were more laid back in their government, seeing that there wasn't one particular government, but a series of city-states, each having their own rules and government.

There were three main types of government in Ancient Greece: Democracy, Monarchy, and Oligarchy.
The Athen democracy in Ancient Greece was very direct. All of the citizens would vote on the laws and each individual citizen was expected to vote for every law, although the only people that could vote were citizens and the only ones that were counted as citizens were men who had completed their military training.
The Romans were a lot less laid back than the Greeks. The Roman Republic had a number of leaders and groups that helped to govern all of the people in
Rome.

Just as the ways that Greece and Rome were run are different, it isn't surprising that their declines were not all that
