Veganism is more than just a diet, avoiding all animal products proves a point, that it is morally wrong to use an animal for its flesh and byproducts. In the long run, the slaughtering of animals hurts the environment and does not benefit one's health. Vegetarians consider animal products to a certain degree. A vegetarian diet is not mainly based on the aspect of protecting animals, but most likely for their health issues or religious beliefs. Because the consumption of meats is greatly linked to obesity, cancer, diabetes, and other major health issues. They consume animal byproduct, in which is collected through the suffering of animals. If not all then most animals are born in factory farms, suffering in crowded pens from birth. Vegetarians consume dairy, which is obtained in a very harsh way, cows are repeatedly exploited to milking machines to be sucked dry over and over again.
