When it comes to the CHES and the MCHES I would not consider either one a career choice but more like a skilled enhancement certifications or job advancement skills test. The CHES also was known as the Certified Health Education Specialist was introduced into the health education career field in 1988. The CHES was created by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. also known as NCHEC to acted as a guideline to direct colleges and universities when designing and revising curriculum in regards to health education.
