We experience stress whether we like it or not or whether we realize it or not every single day of our life and it is common at workplace among workers today and more often than not, as this leads to job dissatisfaction of a certain level, it is associated with high turnover as well as lower work productivity. Stress can be define as "The body's response to any demand places upon it" such as intellectual, Physical, social, spiritual and emotional which can cause stress on a person. Productivity is a measure of how much outputs we produce from a given quantity of inputs and output divided by inputs. As such, the connection between stress arising from workplace and the productivity of employees is arguably of relevance as we measure the adversities …show more content…
1.1.2 Eustress

On the other hand Eustress is a good stress that is healthy or one having a feeling of fulfillment. As an example, winning a coveted award or grand prize.

1.1.3 Hyperstress

Simply refers to overload of stress and usually the multiplication of distress, although the multiplication of eustress can also fall in this category (i.e. having multiple likeable jobs generating good income)

1.1.4 Hypostress

Is a condition where its stress caused by continual boredom or indifference in something such as jobs that lack inspiration, rest and often being repetitive although one can still perform competently. This would be more common among employees who have stayed at a particular job for a certain period of time and experiencing boredom due to the lack of job enrichment over time.

1.2 Measurement of productivity

It is common practice by most companies today to measure employee performance through scorecards methods, especially those in corporate backgrounds. Score-cards entail the necessary performance metrics to be achieved by each employee and are weighted against a certain percentage of importance. Often, this is tied with monetary or tangible incentives and is used to measure appraisal as
