There is a Difference Between a Plan and a Well Thought Plan In the play Romeo and Juliet, by Shakespeare two adolescents who originate from two opposing families end up falling in love. This causes their actions to become rash and reckless ending in the death of both teens. Both of their deaths could have been avoided if just one of them would have thought about the consequences to their actions. In the beginning of the play juliet is exceedingly obedient and respectful. When Juliet’s mother calls for her, juliet answers by saying, “ Madam, I am here. What is your will?”(William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet,1.3.5). Juliet says this as if her mother's will is her very own. He was not born to shame. Upon his brow shame is ashamed to sit,For ’tis a throne where honor may be crowned. Sole monarch of the universal earth, Oh, what a beast was I to chide at him!” (3.2.92-96) She is defending her brand newly wedded husband from the shame of murder by saying that shame is not fit to even sit on his brow for he is to honorable. Even tho Romeo knew that Tybalt had killed Mercutio and at that time in history Tybalt’s punishment would have been death anyways so there is no honor in losing your temper and killing an already dead man. But she didn’t consider these things she was too stuck in her heart to notice these things. After this Romeo is banished for the murder of Tybalt. While Juliet is being forced to marry Count Paris and is desperately looking for a way out. So once she goes to the Friar seeking to create a solution Friar Lawrence tells her of the vial holding the very liquid that would give her the appearance of death. Juliet within a split second yells with tears, “Give me, give me! O, tell not me of fear!” (4.1.124). Juliet had accepted the plan so quick and had felt so desperate that she had even asked the Friar to not tell her the possible dangers so she wouldn’t doubt the vial and their plan’s achievability. Soon after Romeo had heard of this he had come to visit juliet on her deathbed not knowing Count Paris would as well. Once Count Paris was made apparent of Romeo’s he had tried to stop him which ended up in them getting into a fight and this quarrel had ended once Paris had said, “Oh, I am slain! If thou be merciful, Open the tomb. Lay me with Juliet,” (5.3.80-81). Seconds later Romeo is talking to juliet who he had thought to be dead, he had said to her “Here’s to my love!
