Another differences between the two religions are where their places of worship are. Catholics worship in a Church, Chapel, Cathedral ect , while the Sikhism is worshiped in a place called a Gurdwara, this is worshiped in for congregational worship. This is close t how you would reach salivation in the Sikh Tradition. In the Sikh tradition you must do good deeds, preform services for the community and through this you will be forgiven and be able to break the cycle of reincarnation to reach salvation.
Both religions have some major differences and it was interesting to be able to compare a religion, I just learned about to a religion that I have been a follower of my entire life. Being able to do more research past the book for Sikhism gave a greater understanding of the religion.

Islam and Hinduism Before we start with the description of Islam and Hinduism we need to understand what its religion, or at least try to comprehend the meaning of religion. The definition of religion is very difficult, many have try but they focus on only the few aspects of religion, some will exclude beliefs, practices and those religions that will not fit well. As Kile Jones once he wrote trying to define religion “It is apparent that religion can be seen as a theological, philosophical, anthropological, sociological, and psychological phenomenon of human kind. To limit religion to only one of these categories is to miss its multifaceted nature and lose out on the complete definition.” The two religion that I choose to investigate are the Hinduism and Islam because Hinduism and Islam are the third and second most popular religion around the world.…

Throughout the world, there are many different religions that set groups of people apart from one another. Diana Eck and Stephen Prothero both describe how important it is to become educated in all aspects of religion. Although, Prothero and Eck believe that being educated in religion is important, they convey different ways about learning the different religions. In Prothero’s article, “Separate Truths,” he focuses on learning the differences among all religions rather than learning about the similarities; which is what Eck discusses in chapter one of her book, Bozeman to Banaras. Prothero discusses multiple differences throughout the article “Separate Truths.”…
