Introduction
Quantitative research is research that has no numerical inclination but rather focuses on the quality of the subject of research. It is usually focused on the opinionative aspect of the subject matter. This kind of research is usually more useful in areas that relate to public relations. Quantitative research on the other hand is research that can be counted (of a numerical nature). This research usually translates into numerical form that is -hard numbers and then eventually takes on statistical representation. It began in the fields affiliated with natural science but over time has been adapted into other fields. This is because in scientific research …show more content…
The main focus is on the deteriorating elements of importance in public administration. This literature piece explores various challenges within the public administration system but prioritizes the ones whose effects are the most detrimental in the long run. The authors illustrate how lack of effective research methodology has killed the effectiveness of public administration systems. This is in that the results that have been drawn of research topic have been inaccurate and therefore the resolution taken up, unnecessary. This has caused various governments and governmental bodies to mismanage resources such as finance and labor following inaccurate research postulations. Notably, other than the time wastage that has come about it has caused them to kill the faith that their publics have invested in them. The authors illustrate how public administrant bodies have influenced each other negatively over the years. In summation, the main focus of the research in question is an illustration of the link between globalization and widespread deterioration of the effectiveness of public …show more content…
Amaguel’s research is of dire importance because it is set within the time frame in which public administration as a domain experienced the greatest strides in evolution (Yang & Miller, 2008).. The time frame in between the offset of the 20th and the onset of the 21st century was critical in shaping the context that public administration is today (Brower, Abolafia & Carr, 2000). In the contexts, it is illustrated that Quantitative research embodies classification of research matter into pure and applied sciences. As the author postulates, for research be quantified correctly it must be categorized into one of the two aspects. This would allow the researcher to identify the formulae that would be most suitable in application. Failure to do this would seed the researcher find that they are testing various formulae and this would either cause them to lose track completely or waste time in the process. Notably, with public administration, this classification is virtually impossible. Consequently, this goes on to demonstrate why quantitative research is not the more appropriate mode of research as relates to public
