Hearing the different opinions from my classmates helped me recognize the divides between privilege and oppression. Its mind blowing to hear terms such as; uneducated, poor, unemployed, Black/Hispanic, females etc. in relates to oppression. Which is define as being built into institutions like the government and public schools, giving power to some groups over other individuals in different classes. Then terms such as; employed, white males, educated and wealthy, are define to be privilege because of the special advantages or the rights that they are entitled to during birth. Learning about both viewpoints has changed my prospective on the encounter I have with people, to not define or judge them for the labels society throws at them. However,
