1. History vs. Prehistory
a) What is prehistory and how is this concept or term defined?
The term prehistory is referred to the time period before the era of recorded history. There are no written accounts in the prehistory period. The era of beginning of the universe and when there was the beginning of life on earth is described as prehistoric period by historians and geologists. In short, it is used to express the era from when human existence began.[ 1]
b) What is the history of the term (and etymology) as well as the discipline that covers history? How did it begin and what were the reasons for the beginning?

There are recorded events that occurred in the past in order to clarify history, but pre-history cannot be clarified due to non-availability of recording facilities in the pre-historic period. Prehistory is the time period before the era of recorded history or when there’s no writing system yet while history wholly depends on written records. [1] Prehistory ended the time writing systems were invented while history started when writing systems were invented and what happens now will be considered history a moment after. Prehistoric studies are based on the remains of the past civilizations like artifacts, relics and fossils and the data were usually scientifically obtained. While history base data mainly again, on written records. Prehistory aims to study the ancient times to the point since the beginning of time. It’s like prehistory is from the beginning of time until writing system was invented and probably, history is from the time writing system was invented until the time we can still record details.
