According to table 10.3 in Chapter 7 of the Criminal Investigations textbook, there are many differences between power-based rapist and anger-based rapists. Power-based rapists will often times commit their crimes as a way to confirm their manhood to themselves or express manhood to the victim. Whereas anger-based rapist commit their crimes as a way to punish women for real or imagined wrongs or to obtain excitement.
When speaking specifically about the differences between power rapist and anger rapists, a common difference is that power rapists commit their crimes in the nighttime under the concealment of the dark, whereas anger based rapists generally do not care whether it is daytime or nighttime, and will offend whenever.
