Nature and nurture are the two most commonly known factors in human development.Nature is a cold scientific way to view development while, nurture seems a bit warmer like a favorite blanket or parent. Nature is the genetics that make up a person and their most primal persona. It’s like building blocks that make up a physical appearance and the wiring of a building, the building can still be decorated. Nurture, is the way a person is decorated by the world around them. It happens when a child is punished by their parents. The idea that there is room for a third variable in human development isn’t absurd. Conscience is that variable that is a mind. Nature and nurture account for outer variables but, conscience covers the unexplainable. This

‘Building blocks” being the things a person is born with this area covers huge aspects about a person and can even affect how that person is nurtured throughout their life. Nature makes perfect sense when applied to athletes but, what about personality wise? To paraphrase Masip, Jaume, et al. "Facial Appearance and Impressions of Credibility: The Effects of Facial Babyishness and Age on Person Perception." Nature works in the same way for the psych. A person who looks more “trustworthy” is more likely to be voted into office and a person who appears less so might have a difficult time finding a job compared to the original politician. The way a person has been perceived by other people dew to their facial identities, is what that person has been expected to be for the entirety of their lives and others will treat them accordingly. When a person is expected by others to be something, good or bad, that person is likely to act as expected by the crowd and that expectations is who that person could become. That’s where nurture and nature interact, in the the experiences then, conscience comes along to join the party and the person being judged ha there own ability to believe what others say or not. People tend to look and be treated like their genetic relatives but, they also take up tendencies of the people that have influence over them. A child learns to speak by way of nurture.
