The Bill of rights has been made to calm the anti-federalist; the ten amendments control the government’s power and give basic freedom to citizens. They are the basic rights in the US. Conversely, the UDHR has been written to prevent a new conflict to happen. The goal was to remind in a worldwide level the fundamental Human rights. The main goal of the Bill of rights is to give more rights to citizens; at the time of its writing it was also to reassure the anti-federalist and to assure them that the government will have limited power. Otherwise, the main goal of the UDHR was to gather every country after the end of World War II. This text was written to remember the fundamental rights for each person no matter their religion, skin color, etc. These reasons explain why the government seems to have a total different aspect between these two texts. In the Bill of Rights, the government has a small role. Each state in the US can make its own rules, and the rights of each citizen are considering as very important to respect. The government has more a role to preserve citizen’s rights or take care of international matter. The government rarely creates national expect for specific case like the right of abortion, the same-sex marriage, etc. At the opposite according to the UDHR, the government seems more involve in citizen’s life. This kind of government is more social democrat and correspond more to European’s politics view than American’s Politics view. This explains why some social aspect, such as the education for free or free healthcare system is considered as a right while it is not including in the US Constitution.
