Difference Between High School And College

Not all students will get into the college of their choice. Students must sign up for classes and when they do they get to choose what classes they want and when they would like to take them. Having the opportunity to fit their school schedule around their work and social schedules is a benefit to college students. College students are free to choice what they would like to study whatever field they choose. There is a difference between the teachers from high school and college. In high school the teacher helps you through everything step by step, but in college the professors expect more out of you and won’t hold your hand while teaching. The classes are rarely everyday and most students have off a couple days during the week depending on where they go. At college there are clubs as a way to meet new people instead of afterschool activities.

That can cause a lot of stress starting out. During the first couple of weeks students will need to get to know each other. Most college students stay in dorms which is a big change from living at their parent’s house. This means that college students are free to go out and do whatever they please without checking in with their parents. When students attend college they are over the age of 18 so they can also stay out as long as they would like to. They can also go to clubs and meet new people instead of the friends they were stuck with from kindergarten to 12th grade. Students choose colleges that support their beliefs and careers. It makes it easier to make friends when you have things in common and if students are going for the same reasons then most likely they
