High School And College Writing Process Analysis

Going into college as a freshman, worrying on passing your classes, it probably didn 't occur to you how different your classes are from high school; at least not for me. Specifically speaking in your writing classes. This essay analyzes my perspective on the different aspects of high school and college writing. I, as a freshman, realized coming into college, is that something as simple as generating a topic-is completely different from how you would approach it in college. Everything I was taught about the ‘correct’ structures on making the perfect essay in high school, completely flipped in college. Although, high school teachers expected our essays to be written intelligently; it 's safe to say that I got a rude awakening- when realizing my vocabulary wasn 't as advanced as I thought. Last, but not least, high school teachers taught us the way they perceived we would be to perform in college. There are lots of differences in which we were taught in high school, that clash with what we are expected to do in college.
One difference in the writings, are how we approach and build on the topic. In high school, we were expected to present a simple; but strong argument as a topic. In college, we are expected to not only create a strong argument, but dive deeper and think critically of the topic and purpose of the

I learned that both {high school and college teachers} take a different approach on the topics and direction, the overall structure, vocabulary use, and teaching methods; when it comes to our assignments. Although I am worried about how this semester will turn out, I will do my best to learn and understand the more in depth writing we will be expected to learn. Like everything in life, there 's always room for improvement; in this case-a major improvement is needed. In closing, this year will be a new twist in my english writing
