The American colonist did not have a major murdering of British soldiers the way French citizens were murdered for petty crimes and false accusations. Second, The French revolution was not a revolt of colonies against the mother country. It was a violent revolt of France’s own people that changed the entire country forever. Finally, the biggest difference between the two revolutions was the fact that the American revolution was for complete freedom from Britain. The changes that came from the American revolution split the two countries apart and produced two different nations. The war was for freedom and sovereignty. The French revolution was a started by famine and debt of the French nation. Massive war debts weighed heavy on the people of France and the lack of resources within the country sparked a revolution that forced radical changes of a country in a short period of time. All in all, there are many similarities to both revolutions but the actions during the wars and results of them make these two revolutions completely
