2.8.1. Family and cultural conflicts
Effective communication is an essential skill in general practice of family communication. Cultural conflict makes family members strangers among themselves relatives and family. Some times because of cultural differences it is difficult for family members to feel us one family or unit within their own society. According to, ( Gidden ,2005) as we learn from culture it has various practices from culture to culture that may creates cultural conflicts among family members. Cultural conflicts has its part in self identification of children and socialization with their respective relatives.

A cultural barrier is obvious among ethnic groups and family members from different cultural background. Again, communication barriers are also common in family in both families i.e. the family of the same and different ethnic groups because geographical setting and family background. Those barriers occurred mostly because of cultural and language differences, misunderstanding of the message, poor listening behavior and defensiveness, way of asking and answering among the family members, understanding each other, selective perception, unqualified assumption, comparing of culture, lack of self-disclosure, commutation skills, child- parent communication, house managing and financial management of family and conflict resolution.
