He has never said that being different is wrong, but rather that by him being different it has let him experience and see thing that most people might not ever have the opportunity. In the lecture one that stood out for me was when he said that he was privileged in the fact that he got to attend man great schools and live in great homes. But as well having to live in “one of the poorest countries” , yet throughout his speech he never brought up his race all that he spoke about was the cultures he lived and associated with. He has been judged and discriminated against for being who he not just because of what he stands for, but rather what color his skin is and know we are seeing people judging him for the religion he associates himself with. Trinity United Church is the religion that has been the talk about due to the fact that the pastor of this church is truly against America. Brian Ross author of “Obama’s Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to blame 9/11” states that although this church has been controversial; yet Obama has been seen saying that he might be a part of this church “he does not agree with” everything he says but that is not reason for him to leave it.
