What are the primary differences between an organisation designed for efficient performance and one designed for learning and change? Discuss which type of organisation do you think would be easier to manage.
What are the benefits of learning organisations? What would be required to change an organisation into a learning organisation?

An organisation is a social unit of people that is structured and manage to meet a need or to pursue collective goals. Daft we can easily identify those two organisations. For a long time Organisations designed for efficient performance have known a lot of success in his management. Their legal control System and respect of hierarchy from top to bottom make them an organisation of reference. These organisations are devoted to precision - it seems failures are not accepted. Richard defines efficient performance organisation terminologies with precise words: Efficiency – amount of resources used to achieve the organization’s goals. Effectiveness – the degree to which an organization achieves its goals. The process of learning does not consist of a linear sequence of steps, rather it consists of sporadic and circular processes, where it is hard to identify what makes a possible innovation arise, and whether internal or external knowledge sources caused that idea to arise.
