The Carbon Footprint is a measurement system to find out the amount of greenhouse gases we emit due to human activities starting from individuals to the whole population of the Earth in a given amount of time, and is stated in tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). It is basically the sum of carbon dioxide emissions generated due to our activities and is typically measured per year. The activities could either be from an individual, organization, event, product, city, nation or the whole world. The activities include all those which result in copious amounts of carbon dioxide emissions such as burning of fossil fuels, engine fuel burnt while driving your car (carbon dioxide emission will vary according to the type of …show more content…

The problem is instilled in most developed countries where the ecological and carbon footprints are at high rates whereas the biocapacity is relatively low especially in the Gulf …show more content…
The result of these emissions are global climate change or global warming meaning either the extreme rise or drop of temperatures in some areas of the world causing melting of polar caps, increasing sea levels, more frequency of natural disasters, unnatural seasons, ozone depletion causing harmful rays to reach the Earth, acid rain effecting human health and damaging plants and buildings. Effects of the following on humans include respiratory problems, allergies, asthma problems, introduction of new diseases/conditions and cancers of various body parts especially the
