Difference Between Asian And Western Culture

Many young people in general are living their life which is characterized to Western culture, the mindset of “One is more attractive to another one if one is westernized,” is planted and rooted in most of the youth’s brain cell. In contrast to Asian culture which is conservative, Western culture is a more liberal policy towards material and non-material culture such as wearing, thinking, and others. In my opinion, I strongly agree with the writer’s opinion as it is undeniable that young people in general would rather prefer Western culture over Asian culture due to its positive side.

Most of the Asian youths are all listening to The Beatles’ song, pop-song in Western countries, our music playlists consist mainly of English hit song, it replaces Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other Asian song dramatically were once ‘untouchable’. Furthermore, Asian youths are highly influenced by those western celebrities’ need for romantic love. Walking on moonlight, you pull me closer, like a scene in a movie that almost every Asian young couple is doing, although it may be a violation of law in certain Asian countries, as they are brainwashed by those literatures, songs, mass media and folk beliefs. For them, running away from their house permits a sensation if their ideas of being together with their loved ones are open to serious objection, they are like Romeo and Juliet. Moreover, Asian youths nowadays focus on physical fitness. You can see this trend in public, millions of dollars are spent on organic foods, protein powder, gym equipment, gym membership, balanced diet and even recovery and treatment for sport injury. Most of the Asian youths give in sweats, bloods and tears to be muscular, lean, shredded, and ripped in the middle of the chaos which Asian youths try to imitate life in the West which was not trending in the good old days in Asia. Moreover, a lot of Asians and even Americans would rather prefer acupuncture for a better recovery from injury compared to physiotherapy, Michael Phelps, an American swimmer with the most gold medal in Olympic history means it, he has been performed acupuncture on his back since 2010, Zimmerman (2016) comments that without acupuncture, every athlete’s injury would be worrying as surgery operation is their only choice to remain their career and of course, an operation needs treatment and recovery, athletes’ golden age of time may be shortened.
