A Dietitian is a someone who is a health professional with a Bachelor's that specializes in the wellness of people and nutrition. Some dietitians work with obese people and regulate their eating habits and calorie intake, others work at hospitals with Anorexic people and other eating disorders and make sure that they get the kind of nutrition that their patients' malnourished bodies need to healthy. Whenever I was younger, I became ill with an eating disorder. Anorexia ruined my life for about two to three years of my teenage life. It had gotten to the point to where I had to see a dietitian of my own. She turned my life around and she helped me get well again. Because of her and how she handled my situation with such professionalism, I began to see my chance at being a dietitian. I chose about three years ago, right after I met with her for the first time. I chose this field because I understood why people become anorexic and why they do those certain things. From prior knowledge of how food works and what a person needs, I knew what had to be done. The food side of it always intrigued me and caught my attention. I knew how those people worked because at one point, I was one of them as well. This career affects my life because without a dietitian, I do not believe that I would be here in good health like I am now. Without dietetics, life wouldn't be the same for me and that's why I chose that as my career
