3. Dietary fiber helps the body pass out solid waste (feces). It is found mostly in fruits, vegetables, and brown (whole) grains. Did you get enough dietary fiber in your diet? Explain where you got your dietary fiber from.
During that particular week, I feel that I got enough dietary fiber in my diet as I met the recommended servings of grains and was only 2 servings away from meeting the recommended servings of fruits and grains. I got my dietary fibre from dosa (a tamil dish which is a savory crepe), apples, bananas, lentils, and broccoli.

My consumption at this time was larger than usual, since I was eating more tastier food than usual. I also noticed that the calories consumed from takeout dinner was much higher than the calorie count of any other dinner I ate that particular week.

13. What are three healthy food choices that you would like to add to your diet. Explain the health benefits of eating these foods.
Three healthy food choices that I would like to add to my diet includes eating less processed foods, eating more snacks that consist of vegetables and fruits, and lastly having a moderate amount of sugar everyday. The health benefits of making these healthy food choices are getting more valuable nutrition in the body, having a lower risk of deadly illnesses (some types of cancers, diabetes, and kidney stones) and mental illnesses (alzheimer’s and depression), and the body will have more energy to both physically move and mentally think.
