Nutritious Diet plays an integral role in the holistic development of body and its parts. In order to reach goals to healthy body, one needs to develop habits of healthy eating. My BMI (Body Mass Index) is correct according to age, weight and height .But my ultimate goal is to reduce belly fat as I love lean body and I am working for it. For the past few years, I was not aware about the deficiencies and toxicity of particular nutrients in body. But at the meantime, I am well informed about the science of nutrition. Although, I am not an athlete or sport specific person but I am inculcating the habit of exercise to regulate the metabolism of my body. My hectic schedule of work and study doesn’t allow me to do intense workout. Perhaps, I do walk …show more content…
Health Canada website considers at least 8 servings of Fruits and vegetables for a healthy diet. My food analysis represents almost 8 or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day which is perfect. Regarding the variety of food, I would me 5 points out of 10 because I eat strawberries and bananas more than the other fruits .Additionally, mix veggies are more common in my salads and my lunch plans. Hence, the vegetable requirement of body is almost met (8 points). Turning to grain product the ideal amount is 6-7 servings (Health Canada Website) , but my statistics lies between 5.5to 4.5 which is comparatively low .So, this category deserves almost 7 out of 10 for the food .On the other side, the criteria based on variety deserves 5. To exemplify, I eat white rice and white pasta in my past day .Whereas Health Canada requires a person to eat different food products. Hence the whole grain pasta and brown rice would be excellent. Adding to above point, the variety in Milk category is average because I ate yogurt more than other milk based products. Then, 7 out of 10 would be negotiable points in this category. Health Canada consider skim milk to be healthier because it contains less fat. Lastly, I would give 5 out of 10 in Meat and alternatives category because I am vegetarian but I do not eat other best alternatives to fulfil those needs of …show more content…
Firstly, spinach, beans and lenticels are the one that can enrich the iron, calcium and potassium content of body. Secondly, Dairy products and orange juice can effectively address the issues related to Vitamin D deficiency. In addition to it, nuts (peanuts, almonds) are able to solve the problem of weakness of Vitamin E. Indeed, sunflower seeds and avocados can effectively satisfy shortage of Vitamin E in body. Lastly, nuts, seeds and soy products can stimulate the level of Vitamin B6 and B12 in body.     I consumed 86% which is a decent amount. But, in order for me to consume the total 100% for this mineral, taking a daily multivitamin would fulfill that or consuming more dark-leafy vegetables along with beans would increase my intake for iron. Folate: For this vitamin, I consumed 145.54 ug of folate and the DRI recommends 400 ug of this per day. I only got 36% of the daily amount recommended for me which is definitely low.
