Environmental Protection Agency and Diesel Particulate Filter laws are a major problem today in the diesel industry. The EPA industry is claiming diesel engines are not running efficient enough for their particular measures to have a safe environment or clean burning engine. EPA’s discrimination about diesels is that they put sulfur and other harmful fumes into the atmosphere and hurt the environment enough to where the point has got to EPA that if they make a change, their changes will make a difference to the environment.

In this process the fuel burns more but this does harm to the engine overtime. While all of this is going on the recirculation of the unburnt fuel (soot) that is traveling through the engine is doing nothing but clogging up everything, because soot doesn't clean itself out does nothing but build up thicker and thicker over time. These compilations all combined over a period of time will cause serious damage to the diesel engine that these are mounted on or located on. A fix for these bad inventions to help improve the environment is deleting them off of the engine. First you start by removing the EGR followed by installing blocking plates, next a certified technician reprograms the ECM (Electronic Control Module) to adjust and run with the changes made to the engine. Next is deleting the DPF, all that has to be done for this is taking off the old exhaust with all of the mufflers and catalytic converters and installing an exhaust that has nothing but an aftermarket muffler or one has nothing which is called a straight pipe.
