In this essay, I will be teaching you about why Madeleine L'Engle wrote the book A Wrinkle In Time, what inspired her to write A Wrinkle In Time, and how she struggled to issue her book. First I'll inform you about why she decided to write A Wrinkle In Time. After reading the book I have come to the assumption that Madeleine L'Engle wrote A Wrinkle In Time to show how diversity in the world isn't bad and how it is ok to be different, smarter, and/or more creative! Although, after studying Madeleine L'Engle I've come to the conclusion that she wanted to write A Wrinkle In Time because of Albert Einstein and William Shakespeare. Albert Einstein inspired here by his theory about physics electrifying in a new direction. Connecting

Suddenly determinism goes, causality goes, and we are left with a universe composed of what Eddington calls, ‘mind-stuff.’ Listen to these physicists: Sir James Jeans, Eddington's successor, invokes ‘fate,’ saying that the future "may rest on the knees of whatever gods there be." Three world-famous physicians to demonstrate the dramatic effect the Principle of Indeterminacy had on those people who were intelligent enough to follow its logic. Eddington said the world was composed of "'mind stuff '" and that we now have “'no clear distinction between the Natural and the Supernatural'”; Sir James Jeans "invokes 'fate, I saying that the future 'may rest on the knees of whatever gods there…

n comparing George Orwell's and Joan Didion's writing pieces there are many different factors in triggering an author’s imagination to come up with what they want to write, and why they want to write it. Both authors made very descriptive points to how their minds wander on and off their writings while trying to write, concluding into two very different styles. They both often were writing about what they didn’t want to write about before they actually wrote what they wanted too .In most writers such as Orwell and Didion a purpose is not found before the writer writes, but often found after they have decided to start writing.…

Higgs Boson essay Written by Nicola Racape In this essay, I will briefly talk about Peter Higgs and of the significance of his discovery of the God particle. I will also mention how Large Hadron collider functions and the link to our universe to this discovery. I will write about how society will benefit from these discoveries and if it really is worth investing in these operations or should the money be spent elsewhere. Peter Higgs named his discovery the god particle, the key reason was for the particle name was due to the fact that it was more catchy compare to ‘Higgs particle’. This part of her essay is tonally different, as she is no longer directly addressing her personal life and historical experience. Rather, she moves the narration to a meta-analysis of the role of history, and better known historical figures, Rosa Parks and Mae West. Both Parks and West existed within their own cultural phenomena, Parks’ history in entrenched within the Civil Rights Movement, where she, unexpectedly established her rights to equality, acting as the catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement (661, paragraph 12). West’s history is entrenched in the history of Hollywood and female entertainers in the 20th century, where she became an icon due to her status as a sex symbol and a misbehaving woman (660, paragraph 9). While they do not comply with traditional gender roles, their actions were “the unexpected”, and thus interesting enough for mainstream history (660, paragraph 11).…

This article is, in my opinion, an example of how personal narrative can sometime confuse the author’s purpose. In order to frame her arguments she discussed her experiences with her family, and specifically how she was born a twin to a stillborn sister. She explains her families lack of coping and how her family effected her life, but I failed to focus on the overarching idea that she wanted to get out because of how distracting the stories from her personal life are. Instead found myself thinking that her story was strangely personal without much justification for why it was this way. While the point of her article, the balance between truth and respect, was somewhat present overall, the sections of personal narrative that she decided to include muddled it.…

Looking back on these years, I feel that my most important intellectual experience was one which I only went through recently, and yet has had a profound impact on my development as an individual.…
