Did Jesus Acquired To Establish A Church?

Many people today doubt whether Christ founded a church. If Christ did not indeed institute a Church, all churches would preach falsehood since they all claim to be the Church that God founded. If this is true, one might ask what the purpose of a Church is. One must not make judgements until he has made inquiries into reputable sources. To do this, one must research the Bible for such answers. The true definition of a church is a body of the faithful. In the Bible, Jesus gathers the disciples around him. He teaches the disciples and later chooses twelve of them. These twelve are the Apostles who he teaches more fully. Again Jesus chooses from them Peter, who is made the leader of the Apostles. From this, it is easily seen that Jesus is forming a body of the faithful with those who will lead the others. He teaches them, preparing them for when he will not be physically present. He instructs them in order that they will later continue His work in the world. Jesus calls himself the Good Shepherd and mentions His sheep many times in His parables. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, Jesus appointed these three offices to the Apostles. This is recorded in Matthew 28: 18-20, “… All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciple of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Jesus is commanding those who he gathered to go teach and baptize.
