Love can be a bumpy road and sometimes there might be some major issues, but if you try hard enough and have hope things will work out. Just like they worked out in Did I Mention I Miss You, by Estelle Maskame. It is the third and final book to a trilogy about love, forgiveness, and family. In the beginning of Did I Mention I Miss You, Eden, the main character, is very angry at Tyler since he left her a year ago with no explanation. Things finally started to work out with them and he just left her with no reason as to why. Now that he is back without any warning, she is indignant. The first few months after he left, she tried calling multiple times, but never got an answer. After a while she just stopped caring and tried to move on. Now that Tyler is back all he wants to do is be with Eden, but what he doesn’t know is how angry she is at him. She has to deal with all the dirty looks and stares from people who …show more content…
On page 335 of Did I Mention I Miss You it says, “We have grown and we have learned, but most importantly, we have finally accepted ourselves. Finally, I think. Just finally.” This expresses that love is worth fighting for because if they didn’t fight for their love they wouldn’t be where they are now. They are finally happy and it is all because they fought to be together. Even through all the hatred, non acceptance and judgement they fought hard for their love and it was all worth it. Another part of the book where this theme is shown is on pages 284 through 288 when Eden tells Tyler that she doesn't want to go back to Chicago. She wants to transfer schools and stay with Tyler in Portland. This shows that love is worth fighting for because if they hadn’t then Eden wouldn’t be able to make this decision. Instead she would be miserable living in Chicago still wondering where Tyler is and why he

Throughout my lifetime, there has been moments of laughter as well as grief. But a moment in my life that was pivotal was when I first felt the love of my life, at the moment, fade away slowly from me and sort of detach from our relationship. The song by Christian Nodal- “Adios Amor” showed me how at times when the love fades between partners to the point where there is no love at all, you have to do your best to move on rather than spending time grieving the love that is lost. Therefore, the song “Adios Amor” gave me the tough realization that some relationships are best to let go of if they don’t work as a young adult, and will continue to guide me throughout my life.…

I cannot relate to growing up in a broken, poor, or abusive home but, I can relate to some of their struggles throughout life. It seems like whether it is personal, family-related, spiritual or mental struggles or problems everyone has those “I give up” moments. The traits these three best friends shared that motivated them and made them persevere through anything is, what got them to where they are today. They took the opportunities given to them by their knowledge, the hopes and dreams they each shared, a leap in faith and grew up to become not only successful men and doctors, but young talented men and set an example to the kids in their neighborhoods, their families and everyone around them. This book has inspired me in so many ways, it is impossible for me not doing the same.…
