Did Alcatraz Escapees Alive Or Did They Make It Alive?

Improved Essays
In the great mystery about the Alcatraz escapees is one of the most creative jailbreaks of all time. The question is did they make it alive or did they die in the process? Based on the evidence I believe that they lived and that they escaped. I think that there plan worked.

The first pieces of evidence comes from a video called “ did frank moore survive?” it says that there was a raft and footprints leading away from it on Angel Island. Angel island was there original destination. We know this because an inmate that helped them escape told the media that they told him there plan and they were going to angel island. The raft that they made was made out of raincoats that were donated or stolen. Some people argue that the raft was not sturdy enough to take them clear to Angel island but the mythbusters proved that it was possible by making a raft out of the same stuff that they did and it worked for them so why couldn't it work for frank morris and the anglin brotheres? I believe it did because there raft was found on the island. Is it a coincidence there just happens to be a raft and footprints on the discussed location? I think not.

It says in AlcatrazHistory.com that a teenage girl and two ten year olds swam from alcatraz to the mainland to prove it. In multiple sources it says if they were forced to swim they wouldn't be able to do it because of the currents and the sharks. The girl and the ten year olds proved these sources wrong because they did it so if they did it why would it be impossible for the escapees to do the same? Those same sources say that if they were forced to swim they would be eaten by sharks, but they are only bottom feeding sharks. Also if they were gonna eat somebody they would have had plenty of opportunities to eat the teenage girl or the ten year

They were never found and no bodies were uncovered. And in the same day as their escape, a car was stolen. It’s more likely they escaped rather than died. To escape, they made a makeshift raft, although it could’ve broken it would have been near enough to the shore that they could swim by that point. Had they swam there’s the possibility of drowning and getting hypothermia from the freezing cold waters of the San Francisco Bay.…
