We have chosen to pick REI to purchase our equipment from. We did not select Dick’s Sporting Goods because their license for purchasing has expired. The Coleman Company was not selected because they are not a local entity and we would have a huge shipment with no place to store it. REI is a national partner with the National Park Service, is a local company, and has given us a discount for the equipment.…

While I was at my tour at the William George Agency, I have learned three new things that were related to juveniles. The first thing that I learned on the tour was that the juveniles there on the campus are allowed to participate in athletic sport competitions against other high schools around them, even one of the schools they compete against is a school that’s in my home town. The Impact of the lesson for me was that, knowing the kids from William George school were allowed to play in competitive games against other schools, it gave them a chance to have fun and explore in something new that could possibly grow on them as a new interest that could then pursue them on setting future goals, because I am a firm believer of sports being a gateway…

Most adults’ favorite memories are from their past years participating in sporting events throughout their high school careers. They may not have realized it at the time, but they created memories and friendships to last a lifetime. High school athletes of future generations could not have the opportunity to invent vivid, unforgettable memories and such close relationships as our older generations had the chance to do. Not only could our future students miss out on memories and fun, but they could lack the life skills which athletes gain from participating in sports. High schools should continue to offer sports to provide students with leadership skills, opportunities for community involvement, and college scholarships to prepare for a bright,…
