Written by J.S. Lefanu, “Dickon the Devil” does not possess a real adventurous gothic story as the name suggests. Though the story was written in 1872, the story is more focused on describing the old abandoned place, house interwoven with gothic characters. The main plot of the story is not well described, thus it makes this story just a mundane.
This is a story narrated by an undocumented narrator who recalled the incident that happened thirty years ago in Barwyke state where he was sent to look over the properties that was handed to two old maids.
