The diary of Anne Frank is about a thirteen-year-old a Jewish girl, who had to go into hiding during world war two to hid from the Nazis. Anne frank kept a diary of her experiences while she was hiding. Anne frank went into hiding with her family in a secret annex in Amsterdam. Anne frank was a young girl who wanted to be treated as an adult and didn't act very maturely. Anne had an older sister named Margot, Margot always helped around the secret annex and was very shy and quiet and kept to herself. Ms frank and Mr frank are Annes and Margot's parents, they are very kind and nice and are thoughtful to other people and are very generous.

Compassion means to concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Mr. Frank also showed compassion by letting the Van Daans live with him and his family in the secret annex when he could've just left them out to be captured. This shows that Mr. Frank is caring and willing to let the Van Daans live with him and his family.
Sacrifice was also used in the story. Sacrifice means when you offer food, objects or the lives of animals or even yourself to a higher purpose. Mr. Frank also shows this when he left his house and all his belongings behind to live in the secret annex and hide. He also shows sacrifice when he lets the Van Daans live with his family and himself he could have left them out. This means Mr. Frank is willing to sacrifice his belongings and his family space and his life for others in need.
