Anne Frank from the diary, “Diary of a Young Girl” goes through many changes as the diary progresses. The approximate stage of development that Anne fits into is “Early Adolescence (approximately 11-13 years of age). “Some physical developments of Anne are that she develops breasts and hips, and she begins menstruating. On page 130 Anne states, “I think what is happening to me is so wonderful, and not only what can be seen on my body, but all that is taking place inside.” This shows that Anne has physically developed because she talks about how she feels this sweet secret with her every time she gets her period. When she says “... but all that is taking place inside,” she is referring to all of the internal changes that she is going through,
