Rationale Animal farm, written by George Orwell, portrays a story about a group of animals that rebel against human on the farm with the hope of being equal, free and happy. However, it turns out that new rules created by the pigs become a cruel tyranny of their own.

In this assignment, I have chosen to write a diary entry as Snowball. Writing a dairy entry allows Snowball to express his thoughts and feelings toward Napoleon, and how he worries after Old Major is dead. I will use informal language such as “I’ve”, as it fits the convention of dairy. Strong feelings against dictatorship and intense disagreement of Napoleon’s power will be shown clearly through emphatic words, such as “they are selfish and our enemies”, which allow the reader to understand how snowball feels.

The diary entry will mention two key events in the novel: when snowball is being chased out of Animal farm and the windmill plan will help to operate all the

Nevertheless, this will not stop me from retaliating by assembling all of my supporters in the neighboring farm with the phrase of "Defeat Napoleon". Our main objective is gain victory over Napoleon and center our interest on obtaining Old Major's rules. Majority of the animals on the farm were my companions and it seemingly are willing to be backup for the intervention of Napoleon. Meetings will be arranged more often as a discussion upon the plan where I was going to use on Jones farm. Despite the fact that I am against the use of firearms however, certain situations force us to train our men in their use as well as the dog does not make a grievous harm and to end Napoleon quickly. I will not run away, instead I will under any circumstances, defend on what I believe in, stand up for my own beliefs... I will be

Adlai E. Stevenson once said “... the truth is often unpopular…” In other words, the truth is often either untold or bent. In this quote, Stevenson is trying to convey that telling the truth is not always the choice that people choose to make. They always try to bend the truth for themselves so that their sense of dignity and pride would not fade away. It shows that being dishonest is more likely to occur than being truthful.…

After reading Animal Farm by George Orwell, the reader can conclude that the pigs use rhetoric to manipulate the other animals in many certain ways. Ethos, pathos, and logos are the three rhetoric strategies that the pigs use. Animal Farm represents the “Russian Revolutionary War”. The three pigs all impersonate someone different in the war. Napoleon appears as Joseph Stalion.…

Animal Farm is an allegory as it has parallels to the Soviet Union and the possibility of totalitarianism. The phrase in the book "All animals are equal but some are more equal than others" is a good satire on the facade of equality that communism in Russia at the time had. The pigs were the communist idealist, some of them being representatative of ones present in Soviet Russia, and they had a plan to overthrow the farmer, Mr. Jones, who is like the old tzars of Russia. The farm goes from a monarchy, to communist government, to a totalitarian government, resulting in Napoleon, the head pig, having complete control over everything in the farm. In the end, the communist idealist pigs turn into just what they had overthrown, and the rest of the animals could no longer tell them apart from the humans.…

Animal Farm was first published in 1944 by an english novelist called Eric Arthur Blair with a symbolic relationship to political power in reality. People never thought how it would have been if animals actually ruled their own farm until this book. But, we know that some people or animals rise to power just to get what they want and forget about the others. Through Blair he shows that power corrupts those who possess it. Even though some leaders know how to use their power for good, in Animal Farm three animals: Snowball, Squealer, and Napoleon; all pigs, gained power and use it for the worst.…

George Orwell, a political satirist of the Russian Revolution, expressed his opinions against the new movements engaging in communism and totalitarianism through the allegorical fable, Animal Farm. On Manor Farm in England, re-established as Animal Farm, a group of power greedy pigs take absolute control over the other farm animals. They abuse their authority to oppress the lower class for rewards in the behalf of their benefit, parallel to how Russian leaders in the twentieth century ruled. While the lower class animals are convinced by propaganda that their lives have improved from the past, their equality and freedom is taken away from what the dictatorial pigs say is for their personal benefit. The malevolent pigs of Animal Farm rule as ruthless dictators, using their power over the inequitable dispersal of education, fear of themselves and others, and persuasive speeches to oppress the animals on the farm, in which the sheep are too fearful and naive to be aware of the tyrannical society they live in.…

I have learned very much by completing this scrapbook activity. By researching about current events that are happening today, I have acquired a stronger grasp on the ideals of Animal Farm, which was published many years ago, by connecting these ideals to problems in today’s society. I have learned that power corrupts, and tyranny is a manifestation of this power engulfing the person that wants it most. Napoleon’s actions portray the repugnant effect that this need for power has on an individual that was originally decent. This activity has further developed my understanding of the implications of Orwell’s message in Animal Farm.…

It is not seen very often in popular books today that a pig instructs nine killer puppies to tear out the throats of traitorous hens. In Animal Farm by George Orwell, a satire of major European countries in the 1940’s, this is only one of the events that displays the leading pig Napoleon’s road to complete takeover. Napoleon mainly succeeds in his path to glory through the inequality of his “subjects.” Orwell expresses the theme of unequal treatment in society through the citizenry of the pigs, hens, and dogs in his story. Orwell explains the idea of inequality throughout a society through his hen characters in the story.…

Napoleon emerges through power and manipulation to be the leader after the “animal rebellion”. Much like many other powerful, oppressive governments, he uses military force to intimidate the other animals and to keep his power. However, throughout the novel, weaker minded animals are charmed by Napoleon’s intellect. He uses the disguise of words and propaganda to hide his manipulation and control over the farm. Throughout the novel, many of the Animals use the phrase “Four legs good, two legs bad” (Orwell 14).…
