A 28-year-old unhappy postal worker and a hopeless 60-year-old opera singer embark on a road trip of self-discovery, while being pursued by postal inspectors and the singer’s abusive husband.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

DIANA DRAKE VALENTINO (60’s) an opera singer wants to get out of her abusive marriage to her husband, VICTOR. He has beaten her up and controls her life.

Diana befriends MATT ROBERTS (28), a part-time, disgruntled postal worker. They meet every day when he delivers the mail.

They both have a troubled past and they both feel lonely. Matt’s only family is his mother and brother. He has a missing sibling. He’s unhappy at work. His boss wouldn’t allow him to take a day off. Diana’s controlling husband handles all of her finances and will not allow Diana her freedom.

They decide to leave together and embark on a road trip. Matt wants to see Mt. Rushmore. They take Matt’s postal truck, not knowing that there’s a GPS tracker inside the truck. They stop in Las Vegas, where they visit a honky-tonk bar.

Diana enters a karaoke contest. Diana is musically gifted and wins. Diana is invited back to sing with the band again. She befriends their bandleader, CLAY, and agrees to tour with them.

Diana notices a mysterious woman called “BOBO” speaking with Matt. Diana seems to recognize her, but can’t place her. She doesn’t remember that Bobo blames Diana for breaking up her marriage years ago and now she wants revenge.

Matt is reported missing, along with the missing mail. Postal Inspectors, KEISHA and TERESA, are assigned to track down Matt. An all-points bulletin and warrant is issued for him.

Victor becomes aware that Diana lied to him and that she’s missing. The postal inspectors speak with him. Feeling unsafe, Matt and Diana buy a new car. Diana and Matt stop in Utah to visit Victor’s son, Kevin, who’s in prison for the statutory rape of a young woman, TAMMY FAYE. He fathered a young
