Jimmy Crammer and I got one of our parents to drive us to the Commack Arena to see a concert. The then current popular band— signed to Apple Records by the freakin’ Beatles— was Badfinger, who was performing on a bill with two other acts—Cactus, who was the headliner, and Bull Angus— being the last band of importance. I believe D.D. Copper survived his jump because, he didn’t ask for “four parachutes” for no reason. When you think of the phrase “seer stone,” there is usually a negative connotation that goes along with it. Why is that? Joseph Smith used a seer stone as one of the primary instruments in his translation of the Book of Mormon, and they are mentioned as legitimate objects throughout the scriptures. Nowadays, when a police officer gets involve in a shooting, peoples perception is skewed by the media and overall opinions. How many times do we see in the news, police officers shot a 15 year old kid carrying a toy gun? The media tends to focus on the headlines that would give them more viewers instead of the totality of the event. Mine buckets like this one were used by in some of Drumheller Valley’s earliest coal mines – including the Miller Mine and the Newcastle Mine. The hoisting arm is mounted low on the bucket to provide a lower centre of gravity for easy dumping. Although a lock on one side of the hoisting arm is designed to prevent accidental dumping, several injuries were sustained when men were accidently dumped out. Gem of the Ocean is a part of a ten play chronicle written by August Wilson where slavery has ended but, we can still see that it still exist. Gem of the Ocean takes place about 40 years after the abolition of slavery, which is not nearly enough time for people to move on and evolve from such a detrimental occurrence in history. Slavery is a manmade problem the promoted racism and was passed on through the generations. In the case study of Gilbane Gold, David Jackson, the engineer responsible for waste treatment in Z-Corp, was put in a very difficult situation. In the beginning, David was getting results from Frank’s waste water discharge tanks that showed that they have been releasing arsenic and lead at higher levels than what the city allows. The waste water ends up into the popular and profitable sludge product called Gilbane Gold. Gilbane Gold is sold as a fertilizer to farmers for about 75 years. Diamond mining is a beneficial industry for the economy, but many worry that the money gained from the industry isn't worth the cost of how diamond mining affects people and the environment. While there are precautions taken the argument "Diamond Mining: Harmful to the Environment" is the best supported argument as the author appeals to the majority of people's emotions with an ecofriendly view, uses specific examples that are relevant to our world today, and proves their point strongly throughout the passage that diamond mining is not beneficial with the topics they bring up and examples that they use.
