1. (Social Questions.) We live in a world with constant criticism. Everyday we are judged by the clothes we wear to the way we look. Why can no one be looked at as equals? Why does everyone constantly look at another and right away pick something that is not ‘right’ about them. Everyone is always trying to defend themselves because it's normal to be criticized. It's normal to see someone and assume they're not equal to you, that you are above them. Life today just like in the book talks about how being equal is a foreign subject. It makes me realize how much criticizing one actually does to another. How much the world tries to put down others for mainly just being themselves. It seems strange how people in the book are accustom to being put down, made fun of, and as a result are rude to each other. (Reflections.) I wonder what our world would be like if it was created like the city in the novel? With everyone pretty and unable to think about things on their own. I wonder if it would stop things like war? If everyone thought the same and didn't want anything to change. What would happen if the whole world couldn’t think clearly? If there was only one religion, one language, one government. What if everyone was the exact same? Would the world be a better place? Would it run smoother? In the novel it depicts what life would be like and shows us that there are always going to be those odd people that don't fit in. However, I wonder if life would be easier if there was only one choice for everything, and no one questioned it. For this world to exist, we would have to sacrifice the ability to be unique. I truly wonder if something that important would be worth giving
