Dialectical Journal Episode 22

But every bit of confidence I had in everything working out was crushed the moment Barnaby was slapped across his face, as if I was the one who had received the impact, dreariness filling the pit in my stomach. The blond was now murderous and constantly harming Kotetsu until the point of him giving up, while crying and calling him by his nickname when Barnaby was ready to finish him off. As soon as Kotetsu’s eyes filled with tears mine did as well, was the other really going to kill him? I almost chocked on my sobs when, to my surprise and relief, Barnaby seemed to remember his partner thanks to that silly nickname. Not surprisingly, this experience had me completely downhearted until the very last

The Crucible Act 1 Dialectical Journal As you read Act 1, keep a “dialectical journal.” Dialectical is “the art or practice of arriving at the truth through logical arguments.” Therefore, you will use your insights and perceptions to “argue” with the characters, situations, and events in the play in order to come to some understanding or truth. As you “converse” with the text, you will develop a better understanding of what is going on, what motivates the characters, and underlying conflicts. The flickering light of the melting candle illuminated the large leather bound book that lately felt more like an insurmountable burden, than an endless fountain of archaic knowledge. The droplets of blood sprinkled along the parchment reminded him of amber leaves in the Autumn. Godfred would always nonchalantly remark on the way they would peacefully descend from the large, over reaching branches of the grand oak trees back in Hennith; he would continue to mention that when fate decided to claim his life, he would love to die peacefully like the falling foliage. Gideon clenched his fist as he recounted the reluctant memory of his friend, teeth gritting as he painstakingly remembered how he'd callously snuffed the life of his childhood compatriot--…

Another one was the ending of the final match when Brendan said “I’m sorry Tommy” and “I love you Tommy” because that’s the moment Tommy surrendered and forgave his brother also when Brendan carried Tommy on the shoulder and walking out from the cage with the background music was really touching me of their brotherhood love. Also when I saw Tommy threw a cup of coins into his father’s face in casino I felt very angry at Tommy as no one would insult their father like that but after awhile I asked myself that would I do the samething like Tommy if my father treat my family like Paddy and I think I wouldn’t do it because no matter what he is still my father. In this movie there are many things that can relate to the world which was change, Paddy, Tommy and Brendan they were all changing throughout the film, Paddy changed as he realized that he made so much stupid mistakes like how he treated his family because of alcohol, that’s why he was so regret and already quit drinking for 3 years and was trying his best to make his children forgive him.…
