From 2000 to 2002, Diageo decided to sell its food interests, which included their two largest, Burger King and Pillsbury so that they could focus their business on premium drinks. In 2001, Diageo acquired the Seagrams wine and spirits business which expanded their acquisition range. Diageo has many brands, including Smirnoff, Captain Morgen, Baileys, Guinness, Cîroc and many more. It is now known worldwide and creates awareness for responsible drinking.
The Organisational Strategy that I think is most applicable to Diageo is ‘Differentiation’.
