Diablo III takes place in the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary. In this virtual setting, players are able to play as a hero that engages in combat with hordes of monsters and challenging bosses. The game’s story begins with the demons of the burning Hells having a long desire to invade the realm of mankind (Williams). A powerful group of demon lords exiled their comrades, the Prime Evils, from the Hells and sent them to the human world of Sanctuary.
