Diá de Muertos, otherwise known, to you Americans, Day of the Dead. Even though people say it's the same thing as Halloween in America, it's so much different. People are actually honoring their ancestors that have passed away. One of my favorite things about Day of the Dead is the symbol. The symbol for Dia de Muertos is a Mexican Sugar Skull. It's a symbol for Ancestors who have passed are represented by clay molded sugar skulls. However, they have a different meaning to me. What they mean to me is that, let your beast of creativity out. That symbol to me, is a fearless, heroic, beast that makes me stronger. It's my another part of me, my inner beast, that I let out almost everyday. And, it's personal to me that the skull stays up for eternity

Butin Mexico or any other country, you dress in color blinding apparel that you can only see in Mexico. On top of that, you have the music, that is so fiery and spicy you can just taste it. Additionally, you have families and friends dancing in the fiery heart that is Mexico. The people of Mexico even make Sugar Skull masks to let their creativity out. Besides, the blinding of colors that will put you awe, it's really just like any other place.
Reasons I love Dia de Muertos, is because of it's cuisine. The way people take 100s of hours just to make something that will make people feel good, it's very kind. They have salsa, chili, tamales and everything is spicy, just the way I like it. Sometimes, people model their food and candies after the sugar skull. It's like a combination of colors chasing after each other in your mouth. It's a once and a lifetime thing.
The Ancestors are honored for the holiday, so their souls can be remembered and never forgotten. They're honored in creative and heart-touching ways. They leave flowers and create altars for the spirits of their Ancestors. The way, their altars let their Ancestors know they will be remembered for eternity. It's a very unique way to send a message to the afterlife, to show your family you love them even when they're
