According to Plato, education is considered as a way to accomplish both individual and social equity. Every individual can gain equity when he/she builds up capacity beyond limitations. In other words, equity indicates excellence which means ideals and virtue to the Greeks and Plato. Plato then presumes that righteousness and excellence could be acquired through knowledge improvement. As indicated by Plato, the establishment of a harmonious and peaceful relationship among the society’s social class, laborers, and leaders could create social equity. As per Plato, individuals can live in agreement and peace if they are given opportunities of equal instructive by the society so they can strive fairly since early age.
