He did so by distracting the public with entertaining, though not necessarily important news. Just recently, for example, while President Trump was passing Executive Orders in his first week of his presidency, he effectively distracted the media and many Americans by creating empty controversy about the size of the crowd at his inauguration. People had a frenzy over comparing the pictures between President Obama’s inauguration and President Trump’s and pointing out the presidents’ lies. Meanwhile, President Trump sign an Executive Order mandating the construction of a wall at the US-Mexican border and asking for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act—both came into being with much less attention than they would have if people were not preoccupied with Trump’s inauguration
