A situation happened a day or two ago about the recent changes during the weekend, a notice in price rises and an 'odd' icon difference sent the whole community in rage. What situation? Well, you see, as long as I can remember DA (Deviant Art) has had a subscription via monthly called 'premium membership'. It allows you to customize your profile, do certain privacy settings, and basically gives you more benefits than a normal user without it. It recently has changed into what is ,now, called 'CORE Membership'. I plan to support DA considering I do enjoy their community, whether their ticketing support service is annoying or not, and find those who are willing to provide valid information to back DA up. This can all end in a civil manner, it's just a matter of time before DeviantArt employees and the community come together to discuss the matter of the changes.
In conclusion, I think this all could've been well avoided if DeviantArt had given more power to it's viewers and subscribers than to place needless features as well as hang a shadow over their community's eyes when it came to changes that impacted the lives of many artists, in which earn their living on the art website. The only thing we can hope for is that DeviantArt continues to put it's pieces together after it's loss, and not turn into a ghost town of broken dreams and lost
