I think I can greatly apply this information to my work with children because it is essential to “[match] [the] environment to the varying needs of young children” (Crosser, 1996). No two young children are the same and because of this, developmental appropriate practices need to be instilled so that all children can grow, develop and benefit from their surrounding areas at their own pace. From the knowledge presented in this article I am now aware of activities that could be taking place in a potential work environment and I will have better suggestions that will benefit the child, myself and the work place. Developmentally appropriate practices impact all areas of a child’s life from snack time to reading, playing and cleaning up after themselves,
