This is relevant to Developmental Psychology, because in the last 10 years or so technology has consumed our lives. Children at the age of 2 already can use most tablets and cells phones before they can read, if early childhood is when children are "sponges" how is using technology affecting the way they learn . Also older children who have been using this technology since the age of 1 or 2 how do they interact with other kids their age after always being glued to a tablet. I chose this topic because the video we watched when the semester began stuck with me, children can learn so much at such a young age and I began to think

The use of technology in classrooms today can be somewhat beneficial towards today’s youth, yet it can also have a very dark side. For example, we can just pick up a phone and simply say, “Google, what year was The University of South Alabama established?” and Google would answer with, “The University of South Alabama was founded in 1964.” within seconds. It’s beneficial because if someone needs to know the answer to something quickly it can come in handy; however, it can come off as lazy; therefore modern-day technology is taking away, what should be, our common traits.…

Students are spending more time on Snap Chat, Instagram and Facebook then actually reading a book. Also, students are using their eBooks, IPad, laptops and cell phones more than desktops. Cell phones and text messaging have allowed students to text back and forth between each other, conferring through the airwaves on exam questions.…

With my visual argument project my main intent was to portray the idea of the current and upcoming generations dependency of their mobile/technological devices. The reason I chose this argument in particular because I have seen this problem being very prominent first had. I feel that everywhere I go I see young children constantly on their cellphone and technological devices. I see this in my own family too, when we were younger (older cousins and I) we were constantly outdoor plays sports or any other physical activities. Now a constant theme that I encounter when walking into family occasion is the younger kids are rather drawn to their iPads and mobile devices.…

I thought it was cool that she chose to make the film to help people understand her and Autism better. In Sue’s story, I could tell how it was not only about her story, but about helping others in understanding and accepting people with Autism. It showed her figuring out what Autism is and bringing some light to why she does what she does. I was surprised to hear how self-abusive she was. She was very responsible as she got older when dealing with it.…

    1. This video did not change my mind about individuals who have mental health issues. I always knew that individuals who have mental health are not inferior to those who don’t. In the video, the diver, Greg, who had mental health issues still accomplished many things that I will never be able to do. The man in politics who also had mental issues was still able to run and accomplish many things with allowing mental health issues to have the same availability of treatment as other health issues.…

Introduction: An issue hotly debated is whether or not kids should have technology. Some people think it is great for kids to surround themselves with technology and the internet but research show that that is not the case. Kids think the internet is a great place but really there are inappropriate photos, videos, games, and websites. Kids should most definitely not have technology because it affects their health/ abilities, it does not give them a chance to just be kids, and it can cause cyberbullying.…
