The main issue of the ethics of technology is that society become aware of it too late. It is generally that ethical problems might recognised when technology widespread use and it is already on the market. Ethics is the most powerful tool that can be avoid problems. Adam (2005) and Weil (1969) described that ethics is outlined considering morality and the philosophical approach. It is believed that the Code of Ethics can be addressed ethical issue in the field of information and communications technology (ICT). BSA represents the giant software and hardware companies including Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec, McAfee, and Intel. BSA prosecute many cases of the software piracy every year with their more than hundred lawyers. It is estimated that the value of the software piracy was about ten billion USD and %31 of computer users engage in it in 2011 (Reynolds, 2015). However, penalties of the software piracy is significantly expensive than paid license. For instance, one automotive company paid about $300,000 as penalty of the software piracy in 2012. The company also paid required software licenses and deleted entire unlicensed applications from its computers as a part of agreement with BSA.
In conclusion, it is believe that the certification and licensing of IT professionals might rise the effectiveness and reliability of information technology. It is important issues that included the software piracy, improper sharing of IT information, and improper use of IT resources.
